Privacy & Security

1. Is the data I share with you secure?

Dathena’s solutions are all deployed on Microsoft Azure, allowing us to benefit from Microsoft’s security to encrypt all traffic in transit with the different data sources supported. Additionally, Customer Data is encrypted at rest. You can read more about Microsoft’s Security protocols here. This is enabled by a single-tenant architecture approach, which guarantees data integrity and maximum security.

2. Will Dathena have access to all my data?

No. Free trials only analyze the data that was modified over the past 6 months. Once you subscribe, the volume of data analyzed increases to 12 months. Additionally, all file content is deleted from Dathena’s servers once the analysis is complete. In the case of our “External File Sharing Management” solution, Dathena can view all the files shared through Microsoft Teams.

3. What does Dathena do with my data?

Dathena collects the metadata of your files and the user accesses, allowing us to identify which files and users to analyze. Dathena does not alter your data or download it locally. Note that the content of all your files is deleted from Dathena’s servers once the analysis is complete. For additional information on the information we collect and how it may be used, please review our Privacy Policy.

Data and User Risk Assessment (DURA)

1. How well does DURA integrate with my Cloud Service Provider?

DURA fully connects with the Office365 suite and can be configured directly through the application registration page of the Azure Portal. This allows the application to access specific data via the Sharepoint and Graph API.

2. Is DURA compatible with other products I might be using?

Data and User Risk Assessment (DURA) is an assessment solution which allows you to better understand and map user access. As such, it does not interact with other products, but rather enables you to define your risk remediation plan.

3. Which accesses does DURA need?

To properly function, DURA needs READ access to following elements:

  • Your list of users, user licenses and groups
  • Your list of SharePoint sites
  • The metadata and content of files to analyze

External File Sharing Management (EFSM)

1. How well does EFSM integrate with my Cloud Service Provider?

EFSM integrates easily with the Office365 suite and can be configured directly through the application registration page of the Azure Portal. This allows the application to access specific data via the Sharepoint and Graph API.

2. Is EFSM compatible with other products I might be using?

EFSM provides actionable recommendations allowing you to revoke user accesses to files directly through the Dathena platform. As such, it does not interact with other products.

Which accesses does EFSM need?

To properly function, EFSM needs READ access to following elements:

  • Your list of users, user licenses and groups
  • Your list of SharePoint sites
  • The metadata and content of files to analyze

Moreover, a READ/WRITE permission to update the membership of groups is required in order to revoke accesses directly from our dashboard.
